In Norse mythology, Freya is often discussed as the goddess of love and beauty but she was more than that. The daisy was her sacred flower as it symbolizes love, freshness, transformation and childhood. Freya is the goddess of war, sex, gold, sorcery, love, death, beauty, and fertility, and as such the daisy came to symbolize childbirth, motherhood, and new beginnings.
Basically, Freya was a bad ass. I made these earrings because it was so symbolic to her. A reminder to you, that just like Freya, you can be the goddess of basically everything…and you can do this.
These moons were made using an original piece that we designed and carved from a solid block of wax. Each moon is made using the lost wax casting method and then painstakingly refined to show off the best possible detail and texture.
The moons are soldered onto simple post and come with little backs.
Sterling silver little moons to represent all the phases you have gone through and all the phases that are still to come.
